Dinner at the Paseo Grill...

As it self titled...we recently had dinner at the Paseo Grill. Matt, my mom and I have a monthly dinner together with only one rule that has to be followed. We have to go somewhere new everytime that most of us haven't been to before. This way, we get to try out new places that we forget exist. This month, my mom picked the Paseo Grill. I had pork, my mom had meatloaf and Matt had duck. The food was good and the service was excellent. It was a little pricy (on average $20.00/plate), but I thought it was a good place to go on a date or for a special occasion. Overall, I would give it four stars!

The Weekend Review Part 2 (with Shannon Meredith)

3. Also on Saturday, my mom came over for her first session in learning how to sew. We made a supercute pillow, if I do say so myself! Good job Mom! Next step, making a purse...
4. We watched the OU game and it was awesome, if you are an OU fan! Also, we heard another funny comment by a sportscaster. This time by Brent Musberger (one of the commentators for college game day). When he was reading the promo for the AMA awards, he said, " You don't want to miss this performance by Beyonce (pronouced be-ontz). It was funnier in person but I can't understand how people can make such crazy miss pronounciations when it is their job to do it right.

A few weeks ago, Al Michaels was reading the promo for the movie Changeling and called it Chang-a-ling. What a dummie!

5. Sunday was exciting as always and busy with tons to do at church and a wedding shower and nursery duty. At least the kids were in a good mood and behaved well today :)

The Weekend Review Part 1 (with Shannon Meredith)

Well this weekend was full of all kinds of stuff:

1. First, on Friday, we meet for the latest Hilarity! at the church where I spent most of my time finishing my scarf! I can't picture it on the blog yet because I haven't decided who I am giving it to and the winner might be a viewer of this blog...however, I am very proud of this latest scarf I made.

2. Second, I woke up early (because I couldn't sleep any longer) and began the remainder of my Christmas decorating that took most of the day and night. Aside from a few items left to finish decorating with inside, it looks like Santa has already come to visit at our house! In fact, our lights outside look like the runway at Santa's house in the North Pole. But I like them and we have already had lots of compliments by friends and people driving by. Maybe we will top our 2nd place prize last year with 1st place in the neighborhood lights contest. Here are a few pictures from the decorating fun this last weekend:

Matt had to fix the lights on the bush several times because much like the Griswald's, we had too many lights plugged into one place!!

Now that they are fixed, we have been blinding the neighbors ever since...here is a front view...

...and here is the side view. It looks like it has snowed here, but it is really just dead grass :)
This is a picture of a nativity set that a man from church made me last year!! I love it! AND...a picture of our new TV! Thanks for the early Christmas present mom!!!

The Tower of Candy and our stocking arrangement (since we don't have a fire place at this house).
**Since this is already a long post, I will finish the review later this week.

Tiger Woods and the "Jesus shot"

Check out these two videos from youtube. Apparently the first one is from a guy who thought he found a "glitch" in Tiger Woods 08 video game.

The second one is a follow-up from EA Sports and Tiger proving that it is obviously not a glitch. Pretty funny stuff.

Lucy's bff (besides Charlie)

To get this blog started off right, we thought we would take a video of Lucy chasing her bff, Dottie (the laser pointer dot, hence the name we gave it). She is OBSESSED with it to the point that if she even thinks we are going to get it out, she won't leave you alone for at least an hour!! Her obsession didn't start out this extreme...it has progressed over the last 6 months. She chases it mostly in circles inside but outside or at the church gym, she will chase it along the walls and fence until we make her stop and get water.

This is the first video we took of her chasing this thing so it is a work in progress. She moves too fast for the camera! Eventually we are going to take a better video soon and send it into America's Funniest home videos!

I am sure this isn't the last to come of silly dog videos and pictures...

I guess we are bloggers now...

After much tribulation by my co-workers, I am starting my New Year's Resolution early. It's official, Matt and I are now bloggers. This is really only a dramatic change for me not Matt because he is a faithful 'facebook-er" which I have also failed miserably at for well over a year and half. I haven't changed my picture since I lived at our other house (sometime before August 2007) and the last photos I posted were in the Spring of 2007 when we got our dog Lucy. Katie mentioned to me today that it is high time I update my facebook page and start our blog now and not wait until the new year. So here it is folks...hopefully as my blogging knowledge increases, my creativity on our blog home page will increase as well!

For those of you who have facebook, you will be happy to know that updates will be posted to my profile ASAP as well. I had promised Derek and Katie I would do it tonight but I am not sure that is going to happen. We'll see :)
